Increased protection for endangered sea turtles
Loggerhead turtles have been separated into 9 distinct population segments, based on geography. This allows each segment to be listed under the ESA, and receive tailored research and conservation efforts.
Good news for loggerhead turtles, as well as the strength of the Endangered Species Act during the Obama administration.
